Allergan is prescription only medicine which contains the active ingredient Clostridium botulinum type A toxin-haemagglutinin complex indicated for severe primary hyperhidrosis of the axillae, which does not respond to topical treatment with antiperspirants or antihidrotics. However, it is not licensed in the UK for aesthetic use, and as such the prescriber takes full responsibility for prescribing the medicine and for overseeing the patient’s care, monitoring, and any follow up treatment. WHAT IS Allergan AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Injections typically take 3-5 minutes. At your first consultation in our office, we go over education of the products, areas of treatment, and evaluation of your concerns. This typically takes 30 minutes. After your first visit, appointments are typically a quick 15 minutes.

Each injection is administered through tiny needles. The discomfort is minimal for almost all patients. To reduce discomfort, we can apply ice before treatment to help distract from the poke of the needle and reduce the risk of bruising.
